Description of the project

ESAD alumnus Pol Forment stars in "The Devil's Beauty" at Dau al Sec Performing Arts. A show about Arthur Rimbaud by Pablo Ley, head of the Stage Direction and Dramaturgy specialty, with lighting design by Anna Espunya, executive director of Teatre Eòlia and teacher.

Every show is always a game of mirrors. An author reflected in a performer, in a director, in a staging... But in this case the game of mirrors becomes more dense because each mirror tries to reflect a universe of different personal experiences.

Rimbaud, the poet, is a fascinating universe, as fascinating as the other Rimbaud, the adventurer. This universe is reflected in the mirror of Josep Forment, translator of Rimbaud into Spanish, who lived a passionate life around the figure of the poet and died too young.

The universe of the man fascinated by Rimbaud's creative rebellion is reflected in the gaze of his son, Pol Forment, who through the poems and other texts of Rimbaud and his father, will dialogue with the presence of all two Universes that playwright Pablo Ley and composer Jorge de la Torre will try to collect on stage.

From April 20 to 25.
