Specific access test
The Department of Education convenes each year the tests that must be passed by people who want to access Higher Artistic Education (music, dance, dramatic art, conservation and restoration of cultural assets or design). To access these courses, you must, on the one hand, meet the academic requirements (have a high school diploma or equivalent) and, on the other hand, pass a specific access test which aims to verify that applicants have the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to take advantage of them. The specific test is carried out face-to-face at the center where access is sought.
People who do not have the necessary qualifications to access any of the higher arts courses (that is, those who do not have a baccalaureate degree), must do a test for aspirants without the academic requirement.
So, the specific access test they have to do it ALL people who want to access one of the higher artistic courses, whether they have passed the high school or have passed the test for applicants without the academic requirement.

The higher degree artistic courses in Dramatic Art will aim to generate the qualified training of professionals in the areas of Interpretation, Stage Management and Dramaturgy and in those areas of knowledge and research linked to them. The ideal profile for the aspirant to the entrance test is quite broad and can be open to various profiles and characteristics, given the creative nature of a training based on the difference and the singularity of the aspirants. However, there are a number of typical characteristics that are assessed when establishing the suitability of the access profile, and lead us to a series of thematic reflections.
Age
The age profile in the two specialties is variable. Age is not considered a differentiating feature that makes admission more difficult or easier, neither positive nor negative. But the variety of ages in the aspirants to the two specialties is considered a positive distinguishing feature. In spite of everything, the aspirants to the Stage Direction and Dramaturgy specialty often have an older age profile than those in Interpretation. However, this fact would never be a discriminatory criterion.
Experience
It may be interesting to have simultaneously students with different experiences; both those who have previous training or experience, and those who without tangible artistic experience show some basic qualities that are positive for learning the training.
Artistic sensitivity and originality
The potential artistic sensibility of the candidates and their originality will be valued as a positive differential feature, rather than their previous training experience in the two specialties.
Intellectual sensitivity
It will also value, apart from intellectual knowledge and cultural preparation, the intellectual sensitivity shown by the participants to the proof of access.
Qualities for teamwork
It will be positively assessed for the success of the studies that the student has communicative qualities and abilities to establish dialogue and to work in a team.
Previous studies
In both specialties, it is essential that students have completed and passed the second year of Baccalaureate or have an equivalent degree for access to higher or university studies endorsed or approved by the Generalitat de Catalunya.
