Description of the project

Marta Ossó, alumni of Free Education, in "Yerma" at Teatre Lliure.

Back to yerma, the first entirely Teatre Lliure production of a piece by Federico García Lorca, premiered last season. A scenic poem about motherhood starring María Hervás, with space by Frederic Amat and music by Raül Refree.

Yerma is the protagonist and gives title to one of Federico García Lorca's most applauded pieces. A tragic poem in three acts that shows the internal conflict of a woman who fails to be a mother. She lives this frustration in an environment that makes motherhood indispensable for a married woman, whose main functions are the house and children. And within her, the maternal instinct fights against repression and imposed obligation.

From December 21 to January 4 at the Teatre Lliure de Montjuïc. Fabià Puigserver room.
