The Aeolian School, in a new step to ensure the health and well-being of its students, teachers and staff, has decided to implement in all its classrooms and common spaces advanced oxidation processors (POA) that drastically reduce the risk of contagion by air and surfaces. The system does not exclude compliance with current regulations regarding the use of masks, but it complies with multiple certifications and we think it is a breakthrough in improving air quality and safety of people.

The technology chosen, after assessing the different options on the market, is that of oxidation by chains of neutral OH (hydroxyl) radicals, which purifies the environment in a manner similar to how nature does, without substantially affecting the relationship O2 / O3.

It is an old concept, used by many processes in industry, but now appears with a very new technology that attacks the lipid membranes of viruses, bacteria and allergens, deactivating them, while trapping them in H₂O microdroplets and making them rush to the ground. If you need additional information you can email our Head of Material Resources (ignasi@eolia.cat) and he will give you more explanations about the system. This has been one more step for the Aeolian School since the pandemic broke out to improve the safety and air quality of its facilities, and it will not be the last.

In addition to this, resources have also been allocated to extend the hours of cleaning equipment, the purchase of specific disinfectants, hydroalcoholic and viricides, the extension of the revisions of the ventilation machines and the purchase of appliances. HEPA filtration. Soon, we will also be able to see an air curtain installed at the entrance of the school that will incorporate this same technology of neutral hydroxyl radicals.

As an independent project that works with its own resources, and from the need to be sustainable, we will continue to work with the will and commitment to continue expanding the quality of equipment.

We hope that with the involvement and collaboration of all of us we will be able to continue to move forward and enjoy creative work with maximum security and confidence.
