I'll rest when I'm dead It's a small story based on the misery and loneliness of ten people who live in Munich. Some are the result of the generation of war. The others of democracy. A democracy may not want but it is imposed by the allied liberation.  I'll rest when I'm dead It's pure Fassbinder: melodrama, series B, drugs, petty, homosexuality, transvestism, heterosexuality, life and death.

Who thinks this has nothing to do with us wondering if someone was defeated by Franco before he died in bed. When democracy does not emanate from the people, fascism does not evaporate. We will be lucky if we manage to know who we are so that we can begin the difficult path of being able to love and rest. Even if it’s too late, then, love when it comes, it’s worth it.
