PAU (Landscapes To The Eyes), work of the company "La fam de la fera" emerged from the Aeolian Creation R & D Spaces, will travel to Senegal to premiere in Dakar this February. The initiative is supported by the organizations Proactiva Open Arms, Dunia Kato and Teatro Eólia, Eólia and R&D.

The piece, written and directed by sociologist and director Carolina Llacher, has just finished its second season at the Aeolian Theater this past November. The show puts the stage at the disposal of three migrants from Senegal, Dabo, Yacine and Soly, in order to explain, in the first person, their journey through the Mediterranean: why did they leave? What does it mean to leave your land for a better life? At what price? Is Europe really the promised land? Who were bans to leave? Who are they now? And who do they want to become?

The trip to Senegal coincides with the inauguration of the headquarters in Dakar of Dunia Kato, an association founded by Malamine Soly, actor and member of the company. Dunia Kato, who in mandiga would mean something like “perseverance", Works for international cooperation between Senegal and Catalonia. The association opens with the project #ORIGEN YEUMBEUL, whose main objective is to create a space for growth and social and economic exchange in this district of the Senegalese capital. A place where social awareness is also worked on the topic of migration.

For this reason, "PAU (Landscapes in the eyes)" can be a great opportunity to show Senegalese society a reality that is often blurred. A new bridge of dialogue between Senegalese newcomers to Barcelona and Senegalese who remain in their lands.

On February 19, Carolina Llacher's company premiered in Yeumbeul (Dakar, Senegal) "PAU Landscapes in the Eyes." The piece was very well received by the Senegalese audience who did not stop applauding throughout the show.
Many congratulations company.
