Víctor Carretero and Práxedes Nieto: The Syndrome (Seville).

Course aimed at actors, dancers, directors, etc. and all those people related in some way to the Performing Arts who wish to start and / or deepen in this discipline.

PROGRAM

The course will start on 20 Monday in May and will end on 29 Wednesday of the same month. It is composed of 6 sessions of 3 hours a day on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In total there are 18 hours.

After a warm-up and a preparation aimed at the game and creating the work group, the outline of the classes will be as follows:

• Physical warm-up / mood preparation.
• Introduction to the Game.
• Improvisations in group.
• First contact with the Red Nose.
• Short breaks to scene (1-3 minutes).
• First contact with El Buit on stage.
• Individual improvisations (“La Proeza del Payaso”).
• Near the Clown Dress.
• Conflicts with objects and their correct manipulation.
• Improvisations for couples.
• Creation of basic numbers.
• The trio on stage (action-reaction, listening, etc.).
• Writing, approach and development of the Sketch.

OBJECTIVE

• Disinhibition, confidence and security on stage.
• Playful attitude on stage (positivism).
• Projection of moods.
• Near the Clown Propio (naughty clown-clown).
• Ability to improvise.
• Resolution of "conflicts" with other clowns.
• Manipulation and conflict with objects.
• Near the Clown Dress.
• Possible creation of own numbers.

CURRICULUM OF THE COMPANY

It was created in 1997 as a result of a Clown Course taught by theater director Miguel Garrit at the Andalusian Theater Center (CAT) where the members of the company Práxedes Nieto and Víctor Carretero studied Interpretation.

There are 8 theatrical productions made by this pair of clowns to date: This circus is not normal (2.000), The premature death of a traveler (2002), Clownquistadores (2005), Stockholm (2007), Best… is possible (2011), Cineclown (2011), One of Romans (2014) and Just in Time (2017).

In these 20 years of existence, LOS SÍNDROME have performed with their works more than 2.000 functions on stages throughout the National Territory and have participated in numerous events organized by major companies and Official Bodies as well as Wales, Congresses, Awards, Tributes, etc.
They never neglect the academic and training facet by regularly teaching Clown Courses in the many cities they visit with their shows.
Also the incursions in the televising means continue occupying habitually the agenda of LOS SÍNDROME having participated in the last years in programs and series of TV like:

• "La Casa de Papel", Antenna 3 TV.
