OBJECTIVE

Introduction to the fundamental concepts and tools for writing a fictional film and / or television script. We will start from the base of real examples - feature films and episodes of fiction series - for the participating students to see and check how the written word is transferred to the screen. The aim is for students to internalize and assimilate all the elements necessary to complete a script in its entirety; and, in turn, to write specific exercises in order to stimulate them to create their own treatment and / or screenplay for film or television fiction.

1. The cinematographic story: differences between novel, theater and cinema.
2. Traits of film writing.
3. Subject, idea -logline-, synopsis and argument.
4. Construction of characters Relationships between characters.
5. Structure: the three acts of the cinematographic script.
6. Definition and function of turning points.
7. Climax: climax of dramatic action.
8. Lines of action: main plot and secondary plots.
9. Construction of the base ladder scene by scene.
10. Time, tone, rhythm and narrative speeches.
11. The construction of treatment without dialogues.
11. The dialogue, the final touch of the scene.
12. The construction of the cinematographic script.
13. Sales tools: bible, dossier, mood trailer and pitch.

Screenwriter, analyst and content developer. He currently combines these three jobs at the Mexican TV producer Azteca, Dopamine.
