A XNUMXst century look at the great classic of Catalan theatre
Pablo Ley turns Guimerà's classic into a detective story and a thriller magnificent about the class struggle.
Without losing sight of the origins or renouncing the essence of this universal text, Pablo Ley's dramaturgy transfers low ground in the XNUMXth century, in the Barcelona of anarchism, and introduces two new characters: a journalist and a police commissioner, Vinagret. He will be in charge of investigating a crime: a worker has murdered his boss. Manelic has killed Sebastià to free Marta (and himself).
A contemporary and fast-paced look that slides from rural drama to romantic tragedy to culminate in: "The wolf is dead! The wolf is dead! The wolf is dead!" The liberation cry of the working class fighting against oppression. A story of intrigue and revolt that will leave you glued to your seat.
