"Gorda" theatrical bet by the Ocesa producer of the acclaimed playwright Neil Labute and starring Héctor Suárez Gomís and Mireia Gubianas is a very funny play with a silent ending that hurts.
The argument is simple and therefore close: Helena and Tomi fall in love and decide to establish a relationship, the "problem" is that Helena is well overweight and this, although intimacy does not cause Tomi a problem, in public it It is unbearable, it does not know how to handle it and is not sure to deal with it.
The rhythm of the work is very agile by the disposition and ingenuity of the scenic resources. The adaptation is perfect for the use made of the most everyday language of the Mexican, a language that will make the viewer reflect in the dramatic action and die of laughter.
Humor takes the baton, it is the perfect element to reveal our contradictions and our hidden prejudices, the veil that dampens our indifference.
