Description of the project

Kyema by Sara Q. Pipó

The idea of Kyema it is born from the need to retract how people believe we are with the will to decide on others. We talk about how good intentions are not enough and how they can become an exercise in control that can end up destroying someone else.

The frenetic pace of the city does not allow Alice to recover from the depression she suffers from, so together with her partner, Sylvia, they go to live in the countryside. Sylvia starts working on her translations from the new house while Alice is isolated in one of the rooms. The doctor has advised her not to have any kind of relationship with the outside, nor with any artistic or intellectual activity that could distract her from the path to healing. Still, Alice's discomfort continues and Sylvia decides it's best to start medicating her. But nothing manages to sustain her.

Post-function talk: Saturday, September 28 with the artistic team.

Eolia R&D has collaborated in the creation of this show.
