Synopsis
The king of Navarre and three of his knights have sworn to stay away from worldly pleasures for three years, to devote themselves exclusively to study. They have even banned any woman from approaching within a thousand miles of the court. But they will soon be visited by an embassy of the Princess of France, and three of her ladies, with the aim of reclaiming some disputed territories in Aquitaine. Thus, the king of Navarre and his three nobles will be forced to face the commandments of Cupid, the Prince of the rhymes of love, lamentation and sighs.
