Description of the project

Guillermo Villarroya, alumni DEGREE IN DRAMATIC ART: Specialization Interpretation in “AKA” (Also Known As) in the main hall of the Gaudí Theater.

SYNOPSIS
Carlos 15 years old. Well… 16. Ends with…20-22. Speaks Catalan and Spanish. Or all at the same time, mixed, as he can, as he wants. Adopted when he was 3-4 years old. Middle-class family. Uses Tinder. And… Meets Clàudia. Falls in love with Clàudia. Upper-middle class. Catalan. Catalan bourgeoisie.

Everything is fine.

First night they have sex, … they make love. There is a lot of love. The cousin shows up. Coitus interruptus Clàudia no longer answers her calls. The police show up at the house. Trial. Why?

It's Moorish.

Or at least, it seems that way. Well… in “reality”, because Clàudia was a minor. But in reality, because he is Moorish, he is not from here. Everything goes to shit. AKA (Also Known As) tells us about a period of Carlos' adolescence that we are part of. Of a moment in which, due to circumstances beyond his control, his foundations, his roots, his identity are shaken. And the fact is that Carlos is adopted… and the eyes of others make him wonder what his “true” identity is.
