Mar Monegal , playwright, director and alumni of Eòlia signs the authorship of The last interview (Roig/Capmany) which can be seen during this edition of the Grec Festival 2026. She is accompanied by the actress and teacher in diction and oral expression, Berta Giraut who takes on the role of Montserrat Roig on stage to tell a story of wise and emblematic women.
Maria Aurèlia Capmany and Montserrat Roig are two women of reference from pre-tourist and pre-Olympic Barcelona. They are two icons of a key moment in our recent history. The show takes the form of a live television interview between the two, women who symbolize the generation that lived through the Republic and the one that lived through Francoism and the transition. What would these two great thinkers and women of action from 20th century Catalonia say if they had one last interview? Two icons of Catalan culture meet one night and ask themselves who we are.
The Atrium Room will host this co-production with the Grec until July 31st.
