Ua twenty-two-year-old girl who continues to dress up as a princess as she did when she was a child, trapped in the nostalgia of her childhood. Someone who lives in the memory to escape from the present reality. Time has passed since that grandmother's birthday where the whole family was gathered around the living room. The obsession with living and reliving the same day has broken with the reality of that moment. His imagination has played too much with that memory to the point of destroying it. Everything was cut short and he died. A phone that no longer rings, a gift that is empty and a robot fish that has run out of batteries.
Management notes
Anna and I started from a shared feeling: the end of childhood. We feel that this stage of our life has come to an end, and yet the nostalgia of the memory always remains. The same nostalgia that makes us watch videos from those years to remember who we were. Since the passage of time and the imagination have distorted the memory of what was experienced. This piece talks about the act of remembering as a refuge and, at the same time, as a trap. They say that every time you remember an event you deconstruct it a little bit, in some way take it away from what it really was. Taking advantage of the large archive of videos from Anna's childhood, we construct a piece that oscillates between our imagination and recorded memory. Dramaturgy wanders the boundaries between reality and imagination. We investigate how the "real material", the videos, enter the scenic plan. How does it affect Anna to hear her past on stage? How does it move and what moves it? We are interested in playing with the temporal dialogue between the recorded past and the physical present on stage. How the imagination of 7-year-old Anna can be materialized in the here and now. Past and present gathered in the same space.
