Mercè Martínez, accompanied on the piano by Andreu Gallèn, offers us her vision of lovelessness. A concert, al Eòlia Theater, of those songs that perhaps made us a mirror of our emotions: from the most poignant truth, to humor, boleros, jazz standards, musical classics, rumba, Rocío Jurado, Kurt Weill…

The #MondayMonday concerts were born in 2016 with the aim of “kidnapping” singers from the sets of musicals and bringing them closer to the public. Stage and auditorium become a unique space to offer us intimate moments, joint laughter and large doses of complicity.

“We wanted to do an uncomplicated concert, with no more pretensions than to establish a connection with the public through songs that can often make us a mirror. Trying out repertoire we realized that there was a recurring theme to the songs we liked: lovelessness. And we said to ourselves, why not focus on that here? Just as a bolero can be sung with all the transcendence of the world, it can also be done with a great deal of sense of humor. Lovelessness is the space to regain self-love, but also the place to be self-critical and laugh at oneself. ”
