* This subject corresponds to INTEGRAL SINGING TECHNIQUE 3 of the optional Singing and Musical Block of the Free Degree.

The aim of this course is to give tools to technically approach different genres of modern singing: gospel, soul, jazz, rock, pop... from experimentation and vocal and body awareness.

What resources can we use to interpret these different styles of modern music? How do we connect the voice with the lyrics and the musical style? What role do the body and emotions play in achieving the desired vocal results?

You will be able to answer these questions based on practical dynamics, which will be done from curiosity and play, to deepen personal interpretation and musical agility. We will also train improvisation in different musical modes and styles, looking for the interrelationship between the voice and everything that affects its release.

During the course each participant will apply the concepts learned in different group songs. And at the end of the course, each participant will be able to choose a couple of themes from the genres that interest them most and they will work on them individually. The most important thing will be to enjoy and remove blockages, so that the voice is your ally!

This year this subject will not be taught during the 2023-24 academic year
