“The Labyrinth Artist” deals with the passage from childhood to adulthood based on the memory of a child obsessed with the world of labyrinths. The labyrinth as a metaphor for human curiosity but also as a loss of direction or meaning in life. Getting lost to find something or getting lost as an end in itself.
Today I have decided to return to the labyrinth of Horta, where I had gone so many times as a child. You will accompany me, and you will travel with me to the depths of my —and your— brain; of my —and your— fears; of my —and also, your— hopes. Along the way we will find mythological beings, childhood dreams and pop legends, such as a labyrinth man, the Greek Minotaur, Ariadne and her thread or, even, Doraemon, the most famous cosmic cat of all time. Let's hope we don't get lost. – Neil Martin
